Move to topTop

TOKYO, JAPAN - April 1, 2019 - Terumo Corporation (TSE: 4543) today established an enhanced group identity that consists of three elements: The existing "Group Mission," the newly instituted "Core Values," and the revised "Terumo Group Code of Conduct."

Terumo will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2021. Since its 1921 founding, Terumo Group, under its group mission of "Contributing to Society through Healthcare," has provided products and services to serve the needs of ever-changing medical settings, earning the trust of patients and medical professionals.
Terumo now employs approximately 25,000 associates and includes approximately 100 group companies. The external environment surrounding Terumo is also changing greatly; IT and biotechnology are evolving dramatically, while globalization further advances.
Amid these global changes, Terumo has officially established Core Values to continually earn the trust of the global market and serve as a foundation for its ongoing growth; they will be shared by and connect Terumo associates worldwide. The Core Values will drive Terumo overall strengths across businesses and regions, serving to guide associates in making challenging decisions as they carry out their work.
The Terumo Group Code of Conduct has also been revised in conjunction with the establishment of the Core Values. The Code of Conduct shows the standards of conduct which all associates should comply, and it guides all associates to doing the right things with holding themselves to the highest ethical standards.

As each of its associates conducts business activities according to this enhanced group identity, Terumo will further strive to be of value to patients, medical professionals, and society at large.
